Collège April-Fortier prepares its graduates to become the leaders of tomorrow, to follow a professional career path that will lead to greater responsibilities and to a rewarding and stimulating life. It is not unusual to see our graduates offered several jobs when applying, and this, regardless of age, personality, and resumé. Recruitment days are organized regularly at the College to allow both employers and graduates to meet.

Some of the positions held by our graduates
Vacation travel counselor: you recommend, reserve, and organize all the components required to create an unforgettable travel experience.
Corporate travel counselor – business travel: you recommend, reserve, and organize business travel itineraries and organize business meetings and incentive travel for corporate clients of the travel agency.
Corporate travel counselor – loyalty programs: you will fulfill travel arrangements on behalf of members using both loyalty points and their credit card as forms of payment. You will demonstrate excellent customer service, while making reservations and responding to their queries.
Reservationist: in direct contact with travel agencies or consumers, you dispense product information, you reserve flights, hotels, and cars, and you ensure the follow-up of all dossiers.
Operations agent: in direct contact with travel suppliers (hotels, airlines, motorcoach operators, and destination management companies) managing all components of the tour and ensuring that the right people are in place to service the clients.
Destination representative: you represent your company in foreign countries, welcoming clients to the destination, and offering them unparalleled service based on their needs.
Tourist information agent: you welcome tourists and answer questions regarding your tourist area. You suggest tourist attractions that best suit the client’s profile.
Tour planner: you create made-to-measure itineraries, including all travel components, and always conscious of time and budget restraints. You are in constant contact with your travel suppliers.
Online travel agent: you manage online reservations and perform all related administrative tasks and liaison between the client and the travel supplier.
Flight attendant: you represent an airline offering its customers a professional in-flight service, and most importantly, you ensure the client’s security while on board.
Sales representative or BDM (Business Development Manager): you represent a tour operator or travel supplier and you visit travel agents to promote your products and services. You offer personalized training sessions for travel counsellors, respond to their needs, and resolve any issues between your company and the client. You will participate in trade shows as well as organize and often accompany familiarization trips for travel agents to destinations offered by your company.
Customer service representative: you are in direct contact with the customer, often by telephone or e-mail. You answer their queries and are responsible to handle complaints. You are often the role-model of the company vis-à-vis the clients.
Group escort: you accompany groups on organized tours. You offer a secure environment to your clients while travelling, as well as resolve any problems during the trip. You offer excellent customer service and you will bridge the gap between the culture of the country and your group.
Adventure guide: you accompany small groups on adventure trips. Whether trekking mountains, camping in deserts, kayaking on the Amazon or hiking on glaciers, you will face whatever Mother Nature has in store. You may have to manage medical emergencies, injuries, allergic reactions, mountain sickness, etc. Be ready for the unforeseen and the unexpected, while offering excellent customer service.
